We’re excited to bring you Freedom Camp — a free summer program for all youth ages 10-18! Starting 7/25 through 8/22, we’ll be hosting a session every Tuesday from 1-4pm at @parabletacoma! Each week will offer a different experience including: cooking, art, exploring outside, film, and creative writing. Pizza and snacks will be provided every session! Those who attend every session will be given a $25 gift card as thanks for their participation.

The camp will culminate into a Community Showcase on 8/31 from 6-8pm. Open to all, youth will have the opportunity to share their creations at this showcase with the community. In the interest of collective care, we’ll be requiring all participants wear a mask (these will be made available every session) and we’ll be providing air purification. Parable is on McKinley Ave, right by the #42 bus stop. It is ADA-compliant and the entrance is accessible through a curb ramp on 35th St. The door pushes in to open, but we’ll have it propped open for maximal access. A single stall restroom is on-site. Sessions will be conducted in English and are designed to include interactive activities and some movement of varied levels for all to participate at their comfort levels.
