We’re raising funds to buy a van!

Since early 2020, we've been organizing weekly outreach efforts to share 100+ hot meals and hygiene packs with our unhoused neighbors throughout Tacoma. In addition to food and care items, we often haul heavy-duty items (such as tents and tarps) as well as folding tables to set up buffet-style service from site to site. Needless to say, our personal sedan vehicles are getting some serious wear and tear. We're raising money to purchase a reliable, used cargo van that will enable us to safely store and transport a large volume of food and supplies.

We're looking for a cargo van with less than 150k miles and a price tag of under $10k (from our market research, the average cost of such a van is within that range). TPA organizers are putting our own personal funds towards this and with your help, we hope to reach this fundraising goal to purchase a decent van. Because of community, we've been able to sustain our mutual aid outreach efforts from our little corner of the world. With this fundraising goal, we hope to scale up this work in big ways.
